Julia Berryman: Creativity, Trauma and Relationships

Ep. 7: Creativity, Trauma and Relationships with Julia Berryman

Episode 7 features the creative magic and coaching genius of Julia Berryman.

In this deeply vulnerable and connected episode, Julia shines her light on all things creativity and how so many people experience states of trauma that block them from allowing their fullest expressions through. She coaches Shelby through some deep things that arise around her creativity blocks. There are tears and joys and so much presence and connection. Julia beautifully models attunement, empathy, validation, skill and creativity as we navigate the exact thing together that comes up for so many people.

***A note on sound quality for this episode: I am SO SORRY, especially to those of you with extra sensitive ears, but my earring was rubbing on my microphone as I was recording part of this episode. It's mostly in the beginning, and the sound improves as the episode goes on.

A bit more about Julia:

Julia Berryman is an Artist & Empowerment Coach. She passionately believes that each and every one of us has an Inner Artist just waiting to be awakened and that embracing our full range of expression is key to creative living!

Julia’s workshops and coaching blend art, dance, emotional expression & somatic processing. Working with her, people learn to listen to their body, intuition, and emotions and become emboldened to share their gifts from a space of greater joy, delight and play.

As an artist, Julia creates Soul Essence Portraits. This unique process blends embodied coaching with the creation of a custom-made intuitive painting that brings a person’s dreams, visions, and soul gifts to life.

Julia is also the co-founder of AARISE, a community program that centers AAPI activist history, social justice teachings, emotional processing and somatic healing. This program was featured in Time Magazine in the spring of 2021.
